Improving Systems and Educating Clinicians to Enhance Patient Outcomes
By resolution, the City of Fort Worth established the Medical Control Board (MCAB) to advise the City about the clinical performance of the EMS System; review medical protocols and clinical policies and procedures for the EMS System and make recommendations to the Medical Director; to represent the interests of the medical community and First Responders, Medical Transportation Providers, and ambulance standby providers by making recommendations for improvements to the EMS System as needed; recommend and review research conducted within the associated service area of the EMS System.
MCAB is composed of the Medical Director of the Emergency Department (or designee) from each of the full-service hospitals located within the service area and physicians with specialties or sub-specialties of benefit in developing standards for emergency prehospital care.
